Ladybug House’s groundbreaking study on the needs of families impacted by serious or complex medical conditions attracted the interest of the Pediatric Palliative Care Congress in Rome, Italy. Suzanne’s insights and scientific methodology also drew attention from medical students at the University of Washington and other medical schools in the Pacific Northwest. In October 2024, UW medical student Nikhita Vaddineni presented the study on behalf of Ladybug House at the Maruzza International Congress to address the global gap in care for pediatric palliative care patients. Suzanne’s work was selected by an internationally composed scientific jury as a significant contribution toward the urgently needed improvements in care standards worldwide
