Ladybug House’ groundbreaking study on the needs of families impacted by serious or complex medical conditions attracted the interest of the Pediatric Palliative Care Congress in Rome, Italy. Suzannes insights and scientific methodology also attracted the attention of medical students at the UW and other medical schools in the PNW. In Oct 2024 a UW medical student, Nikhita Vaddineni, will be presenting to the International Congress about the study in service to filling the acknowledged global gap in care for PPC patients. Her study was selected by an internationally comprised scientific jury as work that is adding significantly to the better informed care standards needed urgently in many countries.
